PolyPipe nominated for 2010 Manufacturer of the Year
Sandersville - Dr. Lloyd Horadan, President of Sandersville Technical College announced the nomination of PolyPipe, Inc.’s Sandersville Plant as the College’s selection for Georgia’s Manufacturer of the Year award. PolyPipe is one of the largest pressure-rated polyethylene pipe producers in North America, and innovative product applications and installation methods set this manufacturer part from the rest. 2/05/10 Full Story
Technical Colleges’ Winter Enrollment Jumps 26%
Atlanta — Enrollment in the Technical College System of Georgia continues to grow at a record pace with 109,548 students currently attending winter quarter classes. Sandersville Tech’s winter quarter enrollment is up 22.5% with 989 students between its three locations in Sandersville, Louisville, and Sparta. 2/04/10 Full Story
STC Students Collect for Mission: Haiti
During recent efforts to help the victims of Haiti, students from the Sandersville Technical College Medical Assisting program and Student Government Association (SGA) held a MISSION: HAITI donation drive on Tuesday, January 26th to collect non-perishable canned goods, clothing, shoes and bottled water. 2/04/10 Full Story
PolyPipe Announces Quick Start Training Initiative
Sandersville — PolyPipe, one of the largest Polyethylene pipe producers in North America, has announced a training partnership with Georgia Quick Start and Sandersville Technical College to support training their employees in new technology. The Sandersville facility produces Polyethylene pipe used in Natural Gas Distribution, Oil and Gas Gathering, Water and Waste Water, Industrial Mining and Landfill and Irrigation. 2/01/10 Full Story
